PRTF DIRECTOR POSITION PURPOSE Directs, administers and coordinates the Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility to ensure compliance with all state, federal and accreditation regulations and standards as well as Agency policies, goals, objectives and procedures. The position performs the following duties directly or through subordinates.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides and maintains a safe treatment environment for residents and staff to support optimal conditions for success. Provides administrative expertise. Ensures facility has sufficient numbers of qualified employees to meet regulatory, policy and budgetary requirements. Participates in the development of employee recruitment plans as needed. Directs the formulation and administration of Agency policies and procedures applicable to the Psychiatric Residential Treatment facilities to meet all state, federal and accreditation agency requirements and ensures all policies and procedures are consistent as well as posted for staff accessibility . Oversees the planning, programming, budgeting and execution of the Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility programs. Develops and monitors plan for replacement of equipment to ensure sufficient quantities are maintained in adequate condition for staff use. Ensures budgeted occupancy goals are achieved and maintained within licensing requirements. Directs the development and administration of short, intermediate and long range plans and goals for the facility operations. Participates in the development of fund raising activities for the facility operations, subject to Agency approval. Maintains a close working relationship with the Psychiatric Residential Treatment community, including community mental health centers, demonstrating a positive reputation for the center and services provided by the center. Reviews operating results of the facility operations, compares them to established goals and takes steps to ensure that appropriate measures are taken to correct unsatisfactory results. Ensures all organizational activities are carried out in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and laws governing business operations. Participates in the planning, programming, budgeting and execution of Agency programs. Completes documentation and forward reports containing descriptive, analytical and evaluative content. Provides regular supervision to and professional development opportunities for staff. Advocates, promotes and practices cultural sensitivity and responsiveness in all day-to-day interactions. Develops, promotes and practices teamwork in all activities. Provides best practice standards through outcome reports. Coordinates and provides, as necessary, on-call availability and support to staff for evenings and weekends.
Requirements:
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Masters Degree in Human Service related field preferred. Bachelors degree in Human Services field required with at least four years of progressively responsible supervisory experience in a psychiatric residential treatment facility. Licensure in Kansas or ability to obtain licensure in Kansas (LBSW, LSCSW, LMLP, LCPC, LMLP etc...).
